1. Who we are
FanQuiz ("FanQuiz", "we", "us") is operated as a Malaysian sole proprietorship. The service is provided at fanquiz.io. You can reach us at hello@fanquiz.io.
2. What FanQuiz does
FanQuiz lets you describe a personality quiz in plain language and produces a playable web quiz at a shareable URL. Your audience takes the quiz and gets a result. You can edit, publish, unpublish, and delete your quizzes at any time from the dashboard.
3. Your account
You sign in with a magic-link or one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. We do not store passwords. If you lose access to your email, contact us and we will help with identity recovery on a best-effort basis.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use FanQuiz to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit involving minors.
- Impersonate another person or brand without authorization.
- Spam, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service or other users' experience.
- Re-sell access to FanQuiz, white-label the product without our written permission, or operate FanQuiz on behalf of third parties as an agency without an appropriate plan.
We may remove content that violates this policy and may suspend or terminate accounts that do so repeatedly or egregiously. We will refund any unused portion of a prepaid subscription if we terminate your account except where the cause is fraud, abuse, or a serious legal violation.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the prompts you submit and the quiz content you keep after editing. You grant FanQuiz a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content as needed to provide the service — including sending it to our AI model provider (Anthropic) for generation. We do not sell your quiz content to third parties and we do not use it to train AI models.
6. AI-generated content
Quiz content is generated by an AI model and may occasionally produce inaccurate, biased, or otherwise undesirable output. You are responsible for reviewing what you publish. We do not warrant the accuracy, suitability, or non-infringement of generated content. If something problematic gets through, please let us know at hello@fanquiz.io.
7. Audience data
When your audience members complete a quiz, we record the result, an anonymized completion timestamp, and (if you have enabled email capture) the email they provide. You are the data controller for any emails your audience gives you through the quiz; FanQuiz processes that data on your behalf. You must have a lawful basis to contact those audience members (e.g. consent), and you must honor their requests to be removed.
8. Payments and refunds
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in USD by our merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy). You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation stops the next billing cycle. We don't offer pro-rated refunds for the current billing cycle unless required by law or unless we've seriously failed to deliver the service. If you believe you've been charged in error, email us and we'll review.
9. Service availability
We aim for the service to be available 24/7 but we don't guarantee a specific uptime. We may occasionally take the service offline for maintenance and will try to give notice when we can.
10. Disclaimer and liability
FanQuiz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to FanQuiz is capped at USD 5. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. If a change is material we'll notify active users by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Malaysia, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country grant you the right to bring a claim locally.
